Cricket Anyone?

We began this morning with a lecture from Bill Sheasgreen, a professor from Ithaca College and an avid British sports fan. He enlightened us with an in-depth demonstration of the rules and regulations of cricket, a sport that we were all completely unfamiliar with. Bill attempted to test our knowledge of all things British sports, and all of us, with the exception of Kevin, struggled greatly. Bill was generous enough to give us each a parting gift, which ranged from English Premier League scarves to cricket balls, which all made for great tokens from our time in London.
From there, we went to the Burough Market, which featured what seemed like an endless display of sandwiches, bread, desserts, and anything else you could possibly imagine. The food was amazing and definitely one of the most memorable experiences that we have had so far.
Our last stop today included the London Bridge and the Tower of London. These traditional British icons were some of the first real sightseeing we have done in London, and they were a great addition to our trip. We are looking forward to more sightseeing tomorrow to fully embrace our role as American tourists!
