Hello Gov'na
We had our first full day in London today after we flew in yesterday extremely tired and jetlagged. A few of us went to our first pub last night, Bloomsbury Pub which was a pretty different scene for all of us. After a long day and night, we started the day off pretty early by taking our first tube trip to Wembley Stadium. During the tour we got to see the different players' locker rooms before walking out to the pitch level and walking up the famous 107 steps to get our pictures taken with the FA Cup which was just won by Wigan this past weekend. After walking through the stadium, we walked around the surrounding town where we went to P-Ryan's go-to sandwich place for lunch. We took the tube back to our hotel area where we heard Tim Jones, a lawyer who worked with LOCOG, speak about his experience working with the committee to set up an Olympic bid and then prepare for the games. He had a lot of great insight about his experience and it was interesting to hear some of his experiences dealing with many of the little or unknown details that go into the preparation for the games. Tonight we're all going out to dinner at the Sports Cafe so hopefully we'll be able to see some of the NBA playoff games that are going on before we go out later. Cheers
