WE ARE IN PARIS
Hellllo readers! We made it to Paris yesterday by Eurostar from London. I was really sad to leave London, but we had a great last night in the city to remember our stop there for a long time. Once we got to Paris yesterday, it was raining. We went to the Arc de Triomphe as our first stop, and then we settled down in a small Fremch cafe for le dejeuner, and most of us got French baguettes which were delicious. We came back to the hotel afterwards because of the rain, and a few of us walked around to see if there was anything to do in our area. Most of the local places were closed because it was late afternoon on Sunday, but we still had fun! We all laid low last night trying to stream some American sport games with our wifi and catching up on much needed sleep from London's nightlife. Today when we woke up, it was pouring again! We had tickets to the Louvre, where we saw many statues of Greek gods and conquerors that the Romans made replicas from. My favorite part of the Louvre was seeing any kind of jewelry that the ancient Egyptians or Rimans wore because they were beautiful. Most of us went and did the typical touristy thing and took pictures with the Mona Lisa, which was smaller than I expected. After leaving the Louvre, it was still raining, but because of the girl's love for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, we ventured to the Lock Bridge right next to the Louvre to see the different love locks. The story goes if you and your significant other write your name in a padlock and throw the key into the river, it shows a symbol of your undying love. It was amazingly beautiful, and we even saw a few couples who found their old locks or were just about to throw their keys into the Seine River. After the bridge, we came back to the hotel to organize ourselves for our group dinner! Tonight a few of us will be scoping out the Paris nightlife scene--wish us luck!
