Today we ventured to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and went on the parks in progress tour. On the tour we drove around the park. We learned what the each part of the parks use will be when it re-opens this summer and in the spring of 2014. The park will be open to all residents of London as a form of public areas such as swimming pools, etc. The parks stadiums which will remain are planned to host some large national spoting events in the near future. Including the London Anniversary Games this summer, the 2015 Rugby championships, and a few more. We then went into the main tower which when all the way at the top provides a fantastic view of the London skyline and views into the stadium and areas of the park.
Next we embarked on a bit of sightseeing. Including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben Tower, and Buckingham palace. Followed by some shopping and one of the greatest ever ice cream experiences at Harrod's mall. Overall it was a fantastic and fun filled day as the Olympic Odyssey adventure continues!
