On Friday, we started our day with a lecture from Bill Sheasgreen, a sport management professor from Ithaca University. He taught us a lot about British sports and how they are played. We learned about a new game, rounders, and how to actually play Cricket and how Cricket games are structured. Bill then taught us how all the leagues are structured in each sport, from the multiple divisions in football to the differences in Rugby Union and Rugby League. At the end of the lecture, Bill gave us gifts that ranged from scarves of Premier League teams to actual Cricket balls. After the lecture, we took the London Bridge bus to the famous Borough Market. At the market, we bought food that ranged from fish and chips to sausages and from pies to brownies. Then, we walked across the Tower Bridge and above the River Thames to visit the Tower of London. There we explored the tower where several kings and queens have lived. We finished the day by going to the crown jewels exhibition at the Tower of London.
Cheerio.
